
Inauguration of poor market on the occasion of Ramadan in Nawabganj

On the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, a package of daily necessities has been inaugurated in Nawabganj, Dhaka under the initiative of expatriate Mujibur Rahman Milon. About 50 families were given 16 types of products at half the market price on the opening day organized by Voice Asian.
At this time, everyone is given 3 kg of miniket rice, 1 kg of lentils, 1 liter of soybean oil, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of flour, 1 kg of onion, 1 kg of potato, 50 g of turmeric, 50 g of chili, 8 eggs, a packet of noodles, 1 bar of soap, 1 kg of washing powder, 2 leaves of napa tablets, 2 leaves of gastic oil, 5 packets of food saline. These products are given in a package of only 650 taka.
Mujibur Rahman Milon, the founder of ‘Gariber Bazar’, said that initially this market was conducted in Dhaka and Chittagong, but in the future it will be expanded throughout the country. We want to continue this trend in next Ramadan. I have always been by the side of helpless, poor people in the difficult times of the country and will continue to be so in the future, inshallah.
Editor and CEO of Voice Asian and ICT Program Planner of BTV Engineer Mosharraf Jewell and Deputy Inspector Ajit Kumar Roy, Second Officer of Nawabganj Thana inaugurated the event along with Mujibur Rahman Milon.
Also present was the former officer of the district health department. Mohammad Hossain, local businessmen and UP members and dignitaries including banker Safiul Islam.

Village or city, everywhere low-income people are affected by the rise in commodity prices. Life has become difficult for them. In this situation, considering the low income buyers, the “poor man’s market” is offering products at half the market price.
“Gariber Bazar” in Nawabganj of Dhaka is crowded with buyers. The buyers of the market are mainly low income people. Some are rickshaw pullers, some are shopkeepers, some are daily labourers. Hence the market is locally known as “poor man’s market”. Expatriate Mujibur Rahman Milon is the initiator of this great work.

Each buyer receives three kilograms of miniket rice, one kilogram of lentils, one liter of soybean oil, one kilogram of sugar, flour, onion and potato, 50 grams of turmeric, 50 grams of chili, 8 eggs, one packet of noodles, one soap, one kilogram of cloth. Take kachar powder, two leaves of napa tablets, two leaves of gastroc medicine, five packets of food saline. The package price of the said product is Rs. 650.
The entrepreneur organized this on the occasion of upcoming Ramadan. The organizers said that these products will be available in the month of Ramadan.
Mujibur Rahman Milon, the founder of “Gariber Bazar” said, “Although this market was initially conducted in Dhaka and Chittagong, it will expand throughout the country in the future. We want to continue this trend in next Ramadan. I have always stood by the helpless, poor people during the difficult times of the country and will continue to do so.”
